Rita Marker is one of the founding members of the International Task Force on Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide
and has been its executive director since it began in 1987. She is one of the authors of the Protective Medical Decision
Document, a medical power of attorney that every lawyer should know about, and most pro-life people will want for themselves.
Marker is a former adjunct professor of Political Science & Ethics at the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Living wills and durable powers of attorney for healthcare are the two main types of advance medical directives, and they have
different purposes. As an expert and long-time practitioner in the field, Ms. Marker will explain these differences, and how some
forms are better than others in protecting the rights of patients and their loved ones.
Please join us on Wednesday, September 29, 2010.
Registration will begin at 5:00 pm and the program will start promptly at 5:30 pm. We will meet in the main conference room, 19th floor, Weston Hurd.
