Joe Meissner, Esq. and
Marilyn M. Crisafi, Esq presented the Ohio Death
Statute, R.C. §2108.30, and explained the medical terms.
They discussed the application of the death statute
in the context of Organ Donation and explore the
differences among the State of Ohio “Living” Will, the
State of Ohio Health Care Power of Attorney, and the
Ohio Protective Medical Decisions Document.
Joe Meissner, Director of
Urban Development at The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland,
obtained his law degree from Harvard and has devoted his
career to Cleveland’s underserved. Marilyn Crisafi, a
part-time associate at Tucker Ellis & West, obtained her
Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Virginia in
1987 and her law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College
of Law in 1992.
